Cape Point Tour Description:

Your Cape Point tour starts along one of the most famous scenic routes in Cape Town, travelling past the spectacular pristine beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay towards the fishing town of Hout Bay.  On route we pass underneath the magnificent 12 Apostles Peaks whilst on the other side you will see sheer cliffs that drop into the cold Atlantic Ocean.

On arrival at Hout Bay we head down to the sea docks where you will have the opportunity to take a 45min boat trip to Seal Island or browse through some of the local arts and craft stalls.  We then head off over the iconic pass of Chapman’s Peak, where this portion of the drive offers the opportunity to take some amazing photos.

The Cape Point tour then continues towards the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where you may catch sight of the Cape Point Big 5 (Zebra, Ostrich, Bontebok, Eiland and the formidably misbehaving Baboons).  We spend roughly 2hrs at this most southern/westerly tip of the African Continent, where the two currents meet (Atlantic and Indian Oceans).  You may take the funicular (own account) to the light house and capture some spectacular views of False Bay. Visit the arts and craft shops or spend your time watching the Baboons try and steal people’s meals from the restaurant, lunch is (own account).

We then head off round the opposite side of the Peninsular towards the Naval Base of Simon’s Town and Boulders Beach, where we make a point of stopping at Boulders to see the African colony of Jackass Penguins.  The final part of the Cape Point tour take us for a closer look at False Bay passing through some quaint coastal villages, e.g Fish Hoek and Kalk Bay. We then start our climb up Boyes Drive.  Along Boyes we take a short break and once again admire some spectacular scenery whilst also looking out for Southern Right Whales and Great White Sharks.

Your Cape Point tour is then complete!
